My wife and I had decided to build a home and had met with many builders and or their agents. We decided to use the Kanes because of their knowledge of building and the great advice that they gave us even before we had signed a contract! They also helped us sell our existing home and again the services were wonderful.

I’ve studied this website for my computer science Web Development class at the University of Virginia. Not only is this site easy to manuever, but the UX and UI are welcoming to the eyes and clearly shows the work that was put into the site. We are pleased to recommend without reservation the Kanes. Within the past year the Kane team represented us as both sellers and buyers. We are very happy with the process and results in both transactions. The property we were selling proved, as we expected, to be difficult to move in a market recovering slowly even years later from its 2008 crash. It was a large, expensive house and lot with an appropriate asking price that narrowed consid-erably the pool of potential buyers. Michael recognized these realities immediately and from the beginning aimed the team’s marketing effort toward the relocation market. Ultimately that strategy payed off. Michael Kane was patient throughout the time our property was on the market, as we had asked him to be at the outset. He is a great listener, and good communicator, and is straightforward and candid in discuss-ing the steps that need to be taken to make a property more saleable. Most importantly, Michael is an expert marketer. The virtual tour Michael produced and distributed was a model. It proved to be very instrumental in finding an out-of-state buyer, who confessed to us afterwards that upon viewing our video on line, she and her husband looked at no other properties. The process of obtaining a mortgage has become much more complex and difficult than it formerly was, and Michael was very helpful to us in negotiating those difficulties. As buyers’ agents, Michael was zealous in protecting and furthering our interests when issues with the builder arose, as they inevitably will. In sum, Michael is very professional, richly experienced, and knowledgeable. If/when we again need the services of a Realtor, we hope he will be available.

Our home had been on the market for nearly six months with another firm and we only had a few showings the entire time! Our relocation manager had recommended listing the home with the Kanes so we decided to give them a try... We knew it was a tough sell because it was a very expensive home in Short Pump and there were fewer buyers in this range. However with the way they setup our marketing we had showings instantly! We still figured it would not sell but they said with this traffic we should expect an offer! Soon after we had a contract and our home sold! We are truly thankful for their services and would highly recommend them when selling your home!

Michael and Lauren were absolutely wonderful to work with, and we will certainly recommend them to anyone needing a realtor. Our search took around a year simply because we desired to move within our subdivision once we found the “right” house, but we weren’t in a hurry. Michael and Lauren sought out houses that met our criteria and quickly learned what we were looking for, to the point that they actually found the house we bought before it went on the market. When we decided to sell our home in Mechanicsville we had gone with another local company and really had no luck. They basically put a sign in th yard and we really never heard from them again.
